Facilities Management
At Weaver Trust, our highly experienced Central Team support our schools in all aspects relating to premises and estates, and whilst the day-to-day responsibility for our school buildings and grounds is delegated to our Headteachers, our Central Team is able to support our schools in regards to the maintenance, upkeep, and improvement of our individual school estates, as well as to our MAT estate as a whole.
Our Central Team are responsible for tendering and contracts, and will therefore ensure that thoroughly vetted and approved providers are in place for all of our schools, covering services such as grounds maintenance, security, energy efficiency, and waste management. Our Central Team will also ensure that vetted and approved providers are in place for all compliance requirements, such as asbestos, legionella, COSHH, and all other aspects of Health and Safety, ensuring that all surveys, inspections, audits and risk assessments are completed to the highest possible standard, and ensuring that all of our sites are compliant with all relevant guidance and legislation.
Comprehensive school condition surveys are undertaken to establish and prioritise the need for any required improvement works, with this contributing towards our school specific estate strategies, as well as to our trust-wide estate strategy. These estate strategies enable us to constantly drive standards and consistently make improvements across our sites. These estate strategies also enable our Headteachers to work alongside our Central Team in order to identify any prioritises that are eligible for external condition improvement funding, and to submit bids in regards to these. Alongside this, our Headteachers can also submit applications for internal capital investment projects, with a central trust capital investment fund being made available to all of our schools.
Our Trust also benefits significantly from our extensive network of Site Maintenance Officers and Caretakers, who have an incredible wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise regarding our premises and estates, enabling them to collaboratively work together to resolve queries, concerns, or issues that may arise, both at individual schools, or across our MAT estate as a whole. -

Continued Professional Development
Continued Professional Development
Weaver Trust’s mission is to be a ‘Trust of Opportunity,’ which does not stop with the children. In order to provide the best possible opportunities for our children, we endeavor to offer a variety of CPD suited to the needs and ambitions of our staff. A collaborative, inclusive culture allows our team to identify training needs or ambitions to further develop staff and facilitate this.
At Weaver Trust, we offer two main packages of CPD: Our school CPD offer, with whole Trust training, alongside bespoke support and training packages, and our Career Pathway Packages with specific groups and career stages in mind.School CPD Offer
Our school CPD offer is always based on the most recent educational research and provides staff in each school with training opportunities surrounding different concepts, such as ‘Pedagogical Choice,’ ‘Adaptive Teaching,’ ‘Executive Function’ and ‘Schemas in the Early Years.’ Once the training has been provided and the concepts implemented as appropriate, the Central Trust Education Team works with leaders to support in measuring the impact and identify any next steps.
Alongside the research based training offer, the Trust Central Team works with school leaders to develop bespoke packages of support and development to suit the priorities of each individual school.Career Pathways Programme
Our Career Pathways Programme identifies the different groups of staff at different stages in their careers and provides bespoke training, again, based on research.
ECT Training
As well as working with ECT training providers, Weaver Trust run an ECT training programme with a different focus each sessions. The subjects of each session range from marking and feedback to behaviour and are written to reflect the needs of the individual ECTs and the schools they are working in.
Aspiring Leaders’ Training
This programme is aimed at people with aspirations of becoming a school leader, whether that be in near future, or a ‘one day’ ambition. The programme focuses on leading people with a look into emotional intelligence, leading with vulnerability, school culture and difficult conversations. The programme is designed to provide an insight into the intricacies of leading people.
Leadership Programme
The leadership programme provides current school leaders with a safe space to reflect. Each session has a focus, such as team dynamics, or culture and is delivered in a collaborative and reflective way.
Subject Leadership
Subject Leaders meet up throughout the year, again with a focus for each session, such as action planning, monitoring or assessment. These meetings provide subject leaders with an opportunity to network and discuss research, or any findings within schools. -

Payroll Services
Payroll Services
The Weaver Trust Payroll & HR team is the first point of contact for any questions about pay or contracts. Updates—such as changes to home or email address, bank details, marital status, or name—will all be handled by Payroll & HR to make sure records are accurate and payroll is processed correctly. Our dedicated central team applies one robust set of processes and compliance checks across every school, ensuring pay is accurate, on time, and fully aligned with HMRC and pension regulations. This consistency reduces errors, frees individual schools from complex statutory tasks, and lowers overall costs through shared software and training. Because payroll data flows directly into the Trust’s HR and finance systems, leaders gain real-time staffing insights for budgeting and statutory reporting, while staff enjoy streamlined self-service portals and a single helpdesk for queries. Staff can reach the team by phone or email, and every enquiry is handled promptly and professionally.

Curriculum Design, Development and Implementation
Curriculum Design, Development and Implementation
Curriculum Design
We offer a coherent, knowledge-rich curriculum which has been carefully planned to position the experiences, so knowledge is built in small steps over time…
Why do we children need to be filled with knowledge?
1. To evoke action and enact change in our world.
2. To allow our children to have their own opinions, which enables them to be well-informed global, moral citizens.
3. To move onto their next phase in education.Interconnections
Our curriculum is linked with interconnections that help children develop a deeper understanding of carefully considered concepts. As with the knowledge rich curriculum, the interconnections are progressive and link children’s learning to modern day, ensuring they revisit the concepts in different contexts which refines and embeds understanding.
These concepts bring learning to life, and give real meaning to the acquisition of knowledge. This results in our pupils become global citizens with a strong moral compass who able to form their own opinions and choices on factors impacting on society.Curriculum Development
Our curriculum is ever evolving to ensure that all children receive the very best educational offer – these changes and adaptations are often based on research alongside working collaboratively with our school staff to ensure that the Weaver Trust curriculum continues to be exemplary.Implementation
Our Weaver Trust Education Team will provide training, support and continued professional development for school leaders, teaching and support staff to ensure that the implementation of the curriculum is successful. The Central Team will work closely with individual schools to provide a bespoke offer to each school.
