Wayne Norrie
Wayne Norrie is the Chief Executive Officer of Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), a family of 35 academies serving children and young people aged 3-19 across the Primary, Secondary and Special sector. Wayne's previous roles have included: Headteacher; Senior Local Authority Officer and Senior Her Majesty's Inspector for Ofsted.
Wayne demonstrates a deep-rooted commitment to raising educational standards for all children and young people, through learning experiences. His vision is for GAT to embrace the local culture of each academy, promoting, demonstrating and celebrating diversity and equality. Wayne passionately believes academies should ensure that young people are able to take a full and active place in society, regardless of any barriers they may face. He believes that a high quality education should enable all children to make a positive contribution to the economic, social and cultural capital of their communities.
Since Wayne's appointment as CEO of GAT, there have been considerable improvement in all performance measures from EYFS to Post 16. In addition, the Trust's work on Careers and Employability, Outdoor Learning, Sports Provision and Digital Learning have attracted national interest.

Micon Metcalfe
Micon is a Fellow of the Institute of School Business Leaders, a School Business Professional, and has extensive expertise in finance management, human resource and site management.
As an experienced Multi-Academy Trust Chief Financial Officershe has expert knowledge of Integrated Curriculum Financial Planning, change management, education business support and operations.
Micon is currently appointed as Chief Operating Officer at the Inspiration Trust which is a 13-school cross phase Multi-Academy Trust with grant funding of over 38m, almost 6000 pupils and 900 employees.She has overall responsibility for the Trust's Central Services, oversight of Governance, HR, Estates, Payroll, Procurement & Marketing and contributes to the overall strategy and performance of the Trust.
In Micon's previous rolesshe has led the merger to form Langley Park Learning Trust, which included the design and implementation of the new branding, website, Trust-wide IT services and set up of the new central services functions. Micon is a DfE accredited School Management Advisor, a speaker at educational events and conferences and a Member of the DfE Teacher Professional Development Expert Group.

Mike Cladingbowl MBE
Mike Cladingbowl started teaching in 1987 after completing a research degree at Liverpool University. He taught in the North West and was a successful secondary head teacher in Crewe until he was appointed one of Her Majesty's Inspectors (HMI) in 2002 working as a member of the school improvement division across the country.
In 2005, he was appointed a Senior HMI and led nationally on the inspection of local authority children's services working with local and central government, senior politicians, and the other public service inspection bodies. He has been accountable for around 10,000 inspections annually, a budget of around £45 million, a call centre, national quality assurance processes, a large dispersed inspector field-force, and approximately 400 office-based employees.
From 2012 he led Ofsted's work on school inspection, introducing the ‘requires improvement' grade and accompanying changes to inspection, the introduction of eight new Ofsted regions and associated infrastructure changes, and most recently led the development of new inspection of schools, colleges, independent schools, and early years. He has extensive leadership and management experience and has worked closely with the most senior figures in education.
As a key member of the executive board at Ofsted he worked with five Chief Inspectors, and his posts included National Director, Inspection Reform and National Director, Schools. He returned to school leadership in January 2015 and is currently the Executive Principal of Knutsford Multi-Academy Trust. He is Interim Chair of the Board of Directors of a new rural Multi-Academy Trust in Shropshire.

Jane Owens MBE
Jane is a highly experienced governor and the Chair of Governors. She is on the board as chair of the Peninsula Trust and the chair of the board at The Oak Trees MAT. She is also Chair of Governors at a local Special School, an Academy in Liverpool and the Chair of the board at Edsential, a community interest company formed between Wirral and Cheshire West and Chester councils who provide a wide range of services to schools.
Jane was one of the first to be appointed as National Leaders of Governance in 2012. In this capacity she helped support the National College of Teaching and Leadership to develop the External Reviews of Governance (ERG) process which was in response to the drive towards more effective governance. As an NLG Jane also supports and mentors local and national Chairs of Governors. She works locally and nationally completing External Reviews of Governance(ERG), Health Checks and Performance and Impact Reviews and holds the firm belief that strong effective governance improves the quality of experience and education that all children deserve regardless of their starting point. ERGs and Health Checks have been successfully completed across the Primary, Secondary and Special School sectors including Multi Academy Trusts.
Jane chaired a Statement of Action Committee, similar to an Interim Executive Board, for 12 months for a school within a Multi-Academy Trust and worked, on a consultancy basis, with a national Multi-Academy Trust as they developed their governance structures. She has worked as a consultant for 12 months during the trial period when the National Governors' Association were developing their training and consultancy service and she also acts as a telephone consultant for The Key for School Governors and The Key for School Leaders. Jane is also mentoring several chairs of governors across the North and Midlands as they complete an accredited training programme.
In 2016 Jane received an MBE in The Queen's Birthday Honours List for ‘services to education in Wirral' and in 2018 was nominated for the prestigious Wirral Award 2018 for her voluntary involvement with schools and education in Wirral.

Lauren Soutar
Lauren practices as a family solicitor in the local area, specialising in law connected with children and domestic abuse.
Many cases involve dealing with vulnerable individuals and so providing sensitive advice is key.She is passionate about working with families and keeping our children safe.With her experience, Lauren is now a significant step closer to achieving the Law Society, ‘Children Accreditation', meaning she will also go on to represent children in proceedings.
Her commitment to the next generation and improving life chances has also seen her recently become a trustee at Warrington Youth Zone.
Lauren is keen to join Weaver Trust as she wants to ensure the very best opportunities for our children and secure the very best outcomes for them.
